Variable Lamp

Variable lamp is an allusion to a traditional girandole, anchored in the ceiling. Historically girandoles were used for lightning up spacious and representative spaces, but this aura of luxury squeezed them in low, narrow and cramped flats. As a main source of light in many Polish households it resulted in bad lightning conditions.
Variable Lamp was designed to easily replace traditional girandoles. Its construction allows to unfold, what gives the possibility of changing the intensity and arrangement of lighting in the room. The lamp comes in both ceiling and standing version.
It was designed for the exhibition Zwykła Rzecz (Just a Thing).
